Rachel Wolbers
Rachel is the Policy Director at Engine, a non-profit technology policy, research and advocacy organization that bridges the gap between policymakers and startups. Rachel works with startups and various stakeholders in DC to drive a public policy agenda that helps create and grow startup ecosystems nationwide.
Before joining Engine, Rachel lobbied for TwinLogic Strategies, an all-female consulting firm in Washington, DC., where she focused on developing policy solutions for issues relating to intellectual property, immigration, law enforcement access to data and telecommunications. In addition to her private sector work, Rachel worked on Capitol Hill for several years, including as Counsel for Congressman Blake Farenthold, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, handling all of his tech and telecom portfolio.
Rachel received her B.A. from The George Washington University in International Economics and her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. At Case Western, Rachel served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law, Technology and the Internet, where she focused on Intellectual Property law. Rachel was admitted to the Michigan Bar in November 2012.
